The training will be held at a large lake house in Buchanan Dam, TX.  The street address is 206 Forest Drive, Buchanan Dam, TX.

The venue is on 10 acres of lakefront property, and the majority of the training will be held in the large main house.

In most cases, yes.  We collect dietary info from all participants and staff, and our Chef designs a menu to accommodate everyone if possible.  Generally the food is vegetarian with vegan and gluten free options. 

In the case of an extremely restrictive diet we will do our best to accommodate it, but ultimately we have to design a menu to feed dozens of people, and have limited ability to make extra dishes for a single person.

We created this training to spread the tools and knowledge to enrich communities and generally improve the social ecosystem.  In service of that, we set aside a certain amount of funds each training to go toward partial scholarships for people who are a great fit for this training, but can't afford the full price.  Scholarships are considered and awarded on a case by case basis.

Generally, yes.  To keep the training affordable for as many people as possible, we usually have a few people to a room, on separate beds of course.  If this is a major problem for you, contact us and we'll do our best to accommodate you.

Generally the training will be indoors.  The venue has spacious grounds with large shade trees, so if the weather is particularly nice our course leads may offer the option of holding some portion of the training outside.

Sorry, but pets are not allowed at the training, as a condition of the venue agreement.

The experience of the training is a very full one, and it would be difficult approaching impossible to stay present for the material and exercises, and effectively supervise a child at the same time.  So, we ask that you leave the little ones with a sitter.

We maintain at least a 1:1 staff to participant ratio.  In practice, we will source 24 staff members, and are offering up to 24 spots for participants, so it may be even better than 1:1.

No, though we do encourage you to lean into the experience.  'Respect Yourself' is a value we hold strongly as a community, and that includes altering or opting out of any teaching piece or exercise that you're just not comfortable with.

We will have many experienced facilitators and coaches on staff, who can help you if you're having a difficult time with the training.

We encourage all participants to make healthy choices and take the precautions they feel are appropriate to mitigate risks around COVID.  If you feel sick, COVID or not, please stay home and we'll refund your registration fee. 

Once the training is underway, if anyone (staff or participant) tests positive for COVID, that person will be asked to leave the container and quarantine themselves offsite, their prorated registration fee will be refunded, and the training will continue as planned.  If that person is unable to drive themselves to a safe location (home/hotel/etc), a staff member will drive them, taking reasonable precautions to minimize exposure.
